STUDENT BEHAVIOURAL AGREEMENT
I agree to the following:
To obey the NZET and School rules (as directed by the Tour Manager and Chaperones) while on tour. I understand that if I break any rules or engage in conduct that could jeopardize the wellbeing of myself or others; I will be sent back to my host family at my own expense with no refund from NZET.Not to consume, possess or purchase any alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs. I understand that if I am I will be sent back to my host family immediately at my own cost. If I am found with drugs the New Zealand Police will be notified. No refund will be given to me for the missed part of the tour.
To get my natural parents to sign the High Risk Activities Permission Form in order to participate in Bungy Jumping, Skydiving or any other high-risk activity, even if I am covered by my insurance.
Speak English at all times (except when I am on my own with someone from my own country)

Payment
If paying by credit card for a New Zealand tour, please note an additional bank fee of $46 will be added to the tour price.
If paying by credit card for an Australian tour, please note an additional bank fee of $96 will be added to the tour price.
If paying from an overseas account we must receive the full NZD payment so please ensure you cover any additional bank fees.

Cancellations
- All cancellations must be received in writing and are subject to a cancellation fee.
- Any cancellations received after the final payment date (3 weeks before the tour starts) will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
- If you cancel within 7 days, the day before the tour starts, on the day the tour starts, or after the tour has started - no refund.
- If you are a student, the written cancellation must be signed by your host parent or co-coordinator.
Refunds
NZET will be under no obligation to make refunds where:
- Circumstances arising beyond NZET’s control necessitate alternative arrangements to ensure the safety and/or further participation and enjoyment of the client’s holiday.
- Clients miss any part of the tour (including sightseeing), do not use accommodation without notifying NZET, or leave the tour after it has started.
- We have booked flights for you, as per your request.
Flights
NZET will book the best possible flights through Air New Zealand. If there are no seats available through Air New Zealand, NZET will book the best possible seats through an alternative Airline. IMPORTANT: Air New Zealand charge a $8.00 processing fee or $4.00 one way for each flight booked.
Please note: Once we receive your request to book flights we will do so. All flight costs incurred are then payable by you.
Transferring Tours
If you wish to transfer to another tour, there will be an administration charge of $10. However, please note that this will only apply where a transfer is available.Itinerary Variations
If unforeseen circumstances beyond NZET’s control make changes to the itinerary necessary, (e.g. cancellation of activity due to weather; breakdowns) then NZET reserves the right to vary the itinerary with no additional charge or refund to the client.NZET reserves the right, without payment of compensation, to require any tour participant to withdraw from or leave the tour, if in the opinion of NZET representatives, the participant’s behaviour, or physical or mental condition, may endanger the health, safety, interests or welfare of themselves or the other passengers.
Not Included in the Price
- Transport including flights to and from the start tour (unless specifically requested).
- Personally incurred expenses such as additional meals, beverages, optional activities, souvenirs, and telephone and laundry charges.
NZET Rules
NZET Rules and the Laws of New Zealand apply at all times!
- No buying or drinking of alcohol, no smoking of illegal drugs or inhalation of any chemical substances at all while on tour regardless of age and New Zealand Liquor Licensing Rules.
- Any person found breaking NZET’s rules, will be sent home at their own cost with no refund from NZET, the school or parent organisation.
Permission Forms
Students will need written permission from their natural parents for all high-risk activities. Parents need to complete and submit the permission form before the start of the tour. This is an NZET requirement to participate in high risk activities and NZET accepts no responsibility or liability should any accidents occur.Lost Property
Please name property and keep valuables on your person or locked away. Any property that is returned to NZET after three months from completion of the tour and ownership is not claimed will become the property of NZET.For Your Information
The staff and management of New Zealand Educational Tours Limited ("NZET") take all practicable steps to identify and minimise potential dangers. However NZET, its staff and management, do not accept any liability for accident or injury to you or anyone else arising from your failure to follow our instructions.
To the extent permitted by law, all our liability for damage to your property, disruption to travel plans, or mental injury is excluded. This exclusion is subject to any rights or remedies you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
We reserve the right to withdraw from an activity any person who in our opinion is likely to endanger themselves or others. We also reserve the right to cancel any activity if we become concerned for any reason for your safety or that of any other person.
NZET is NOT responsible for:
- Mechanical breakdowns, government actions, weather, acts of God, strikes or other circumstances beyond our control.
- The failure of the client to follow instructions including check-in and check-out places and times.
- The loss of/or damage to participants' baggage or its contents.
- Refunds are not payable on any unused sections of the tour.
