
BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Cancellations
All cancellations must be received in writing and are subject to a cancellation fee:
* If you cancel 7-20 days prior to the tour starting you will receive a refund of 50% of the full payment.
* If you cancel withini 7 days, the day before the tour starts, on the day the tour starts, or after the tour has started - no refund.
* If you are a student, the written cancellation must be signed by your host parent or co-ordinator.
Refunds
NZET will be under no obligation to make refunds where:
* Circumstances arising beyond NZET’s control necessitate alternative arrangements to ensure the safety and/or further participation and enjoyment of the client’s holiday.
* Clients miss any part of the tour (including sightseeing), do not use accommodation without notifying NZET, or leave the tour after it has started.
Itinerary Variations
If unforeseen circumstances beyond NZET’s control make changes to the itinerary necessary, (e.g. cancellation of activity due to weather; breakdowns) then NZET reserves the right to vary the itinerary with no additional charge or refund to the client.New Zealand Educational Tours Limited reserves the right, without payment of compensation, to require any tour participant to withdraw from or leave the tour, if in the opinion of New Zealand Educational Tours Limited’s representatives, the participant’s behaviour, or physical or mental condition, may endanger the health, safety, interests or welfare of themselves or the other passengers.
Not Included
Personally incurred expenses such as additional meals, beverages, optional activities, souvenirs, telephone and laundry charges.
NZET Rules
NZET Rules and the Laws of New Zealand apply at all times! No buying or drinking of alcohol, no smoking of illegal drugs or inhalation of any chemical substances at all while on tour regardless of age and New Zealand Liquor Licensing Rules. Any person found breaking NZET’s rules, will be sent home at their own cost with no refund from NZET, the school or parent organisation. Permission Forms
Students will need written permission from their natural parents for all high-risk activities. Students need to return the signed permission form to the school, organisation or NZET before the start of the tour. This is an NZET requirement to participate in high risk activities and NZET accepts no responsibility or liability should any accidents occur.
Lost Property
Please name property and keep valuables on your person or locked away. Any property that is returned to NZET after three months from completion of the tour and ownership is not claimed will become the property of NZET.
For Your Information
The staff and management of New Zealand Educational Tours take all practicable steps to identify and minimise potential dangers. However, New Zealand Educational Tours Limited, its staff and management, do no accept any liability for accident or injury to you or anyone else arising from your failure to follow our instructions.
To the extent permitted by law, all our liability for damage to your property, disruption to travel plans, or mental injury is excluded. This exclusion is subject to any rights or remedies you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
We reserve the right to withdraw any person who in our opinion is likely to endanger themselves or others. We also reserve the right to cancel any activity if we become concerned for any reason for your safety or that of any other person.
NZET is NOT responsible for:
* Mechanical breakdowns, government actions, weather, acts of God, strikes or other circumstances beyond our control.
* The failure of the client to follow instructions including check-in and check-out places and times.
* The loss of/or damage to participants' baggage or its contents. Refunds are not payable on any unused sections of the tour.
