New Zealand enjoys a variety of climates and landscapes all within a relatively small area. Our turbulent volcanic history has created fascinating rock formations, other-worldly geothermal activity and awe-inspiring mountains.

These landscapes are home to a variety of intriguing native birds such as the kiwi, kea and takahe, and flora including majestic kauri trees and New Zealand’s iconic silver ferns. Some rare species inhabit the seas around New Zealand, including the Hooker’s sea lion, dusky dolphin and blue penguin.
