As New Zealand’s number one youth tour operator, NZET are known by their team of Kiwi tour managers, passionate about New Zealand and trained in all aspects of tour management.  Scroll down to see meet some of our current tour managers and to see if you would like to join our team!

Tour Managers are selected to be part of the NZET team based on stringent criteria – police checked and experienced with youth, they must enjoy people, have a respect for different cultures and love adventure and fun.  

The quality of any NZET tour centres around the experience and passion of Tour Managers.  NZET provide extensive training and professional development to equip tour managers with the tools to turn tour groups from strangers into families through unforgettable experiences in a fun, informal and safe way.


Meet the NZET Tour Managers

Meghann is a qualified secondary school teacher who majored in environmental management. To accommodate her love for travel she has swapped the classroom for the great outdoors. If she is not hiking in the Himalayas or floating down a river in South East Asia then she is on tour with International teenagers fostering their love of nature and encouraging them to live their best lives.

Krista is all about adventure, good vibes, and making unforgettable memories. She loves to get to know each and every one of you so we can push your limits, try new things, and have an absolute blast while doing it. Whether we’re out exploring or tackling a new challenge, she's here to keep things fun, safe, and seriously awesome. Let’s go!

Wayne lives in Tauranga and is a sergeant in the NZ Police force. He is proud to show visitors how beautiful New Zealand is. He is very easy going and enjoys learning about other cultures and listening to students’ stories on tour. He believes that New Zealand has some of the best scenery on earth and takes as much leave as he can to go out on tour.

Naomi is one of NZET's most experienced tour managers. She thrives on showing international students the beautiful corners of Aotearoa and sharing with them her passion for Maori Culture. Naomi is high energy with a big laugh and a warm smile. She likes nothing better than seeing lasting freindships made on tour and giving the students the experience of a lifetime.

Josh is a teacher who spent 6 years living overseas in China. When he's not practicing his Chinese skills, you can find him playing sports or at the beach. Josh thinks New Zealand is the best country in the world, and loves the chance to show off its mountains, lakes, and coastlines to our visitors. 

Lee is based in beautiful Mount Maunganui. He's a proud kiwi teacher with a passion for sharing the magic of Aotearoa. He loves showcasing our breathtaking landscapes while celebrating both Māori and Pākehā culture. His background also includes working aboard cruise ships, where he ran the Teen Entertainment department — so creating unforgettable experiences for young people is second nature to him!

Huey is a NZ Māori with tribal affiliations to Tuhoe, Ngāi Tahu, Tainui & Ngāpuhi with a touch of Native American ancestry. He is a teacher who enjoys working with youth, music, playing guitar, cooking & Kapa Haka (Traditional Māori performing arts) Huey is passionate about his Māori culture & loves being able to guide Manuhiri (visitors) around NZ, ensuring they leave with happy memories that will last a lifetime.

Jill is a school teacher from Tauranga. She loves to travel and has spent time living in Nepal and London. She has a good sense of humour and does a bit of rowing. In her spare time she loves to get into the outdoors and going on adventures.

Penny is the ICT lead at NZET and a Tour Manager for Special Interest groups, showcasing New Zealand/Aotearoa with passion and ensuring her clients are always happy. A Wellington native with a degree in Education, she has held people-focused roles, including teaching, policy drafting, adult training, and even being a Special Education adviser and a nanny in Italy!

When not working, Penny enjoys tramping in New Zealand’s bush and has walked hundreds of kilometers along Europe’s pilgrim pathways. Her adaptability and love for exploration shine in everything she does.

Scott is the Business Development Manager for NZET. He lives in Tauranga, has a Masters of Education and is a trained ESOL teacher. He has travelled extensively and has a background working with exchange students, marketing, student recruitment and tourism. He is extremely enthusiastic about young people and loves to see the smiles on students’ faces after they have just had the adventure of their young lives and made lifelong friendships.
