Information for Parents

We are parents too and know how important your child's safety is!  While your child is on tour we continually consider the risks so you can rest assured they are in the best possible care.

HOW DO WE DO THIS?

  • We require your permission for your child to join one of our tours. When your child books a tour you will receive an email with all details and asking you to click on a link to confirm you give your permission.
  • Optional activities are offered throughout the tour however  your child can only take part in these activities with  your permission.
  • Accommodation and activities are all licensed by Qualmark, New Zealand Tourism’s official quality assurance programme; so you can have confidence in their safety practices as well as the quality of the service.
  • Your child  will be met at the airport or tour departure point and accompanied throughout their tour by an NZET Tour Manager who is professionally trained in tour management and best practice operating procedures.
  • Home cooked healthy meals are included to ensure your child remains well fed during the tour. We can also cater for special diets such as gluten intolerant, halal, lactose intolerant.

While your child is on the tour, they probably won’t be texting or emailing you as often or at all. This is usually because they are out of cellphone coverage, or they are having so much fun with their new found friends. In the unlikely event that something goes wrong, we will notify you or the school. Remember, no news is good news!

Best of all you can be certain your child  will have the time of their lives, make lots of new friends, improving their self-confidence and their English. They’ll remember the tour as the best thing about their time in New Zealand!
