DAY 1  - Queenstown Airport to Arrowtown

Kia ora and welcome to the first ever NZET Queenstown ski trip!

 

Meet your friendly tour managers upon arrival at Queenstown Airport before transferring to our charming mountain lodge in Arrowtown.

 

We'll check out this charming alpine town before we settle in, then join your fellow travellers for a shared dinner as we discuss the exciting adventures that await in the coming days.

DAY 2  -Arrowtown-Queenstown-Coronet Peak

 

After breakfast, we head into Queenstown to collect our ski and snowboard gear for the week, before making our way up to Coronet Peak for a full day on the slopes. Coronet Peak is Queenstown’s local mountain and New Zealand’s original resort ski area, just a short drive from town yet a world away in atmosphere.

 

Wide, rolling trails, natural gullies, and playful roller-coaster terrain make every run feel fast and fun, with huge views sweeping over the Wakatipu Basin and down to Lake Wakatipu.

 

Beginners can enjoy a lesson on the lower slopes, while more experienced skiers and boarders take on the upper mountain with guided runs.

 

We then return to our accommodation to unwind and enjoy a hearty home-cooked meal together.

DAY 3  - Arrowtown to Remarkables Ski area

After breakfast, we make our way up the dramatic alpine road to The Remarkables ski area — a breathtaking destination known for it's stunning views over Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown.

 

With wide, sunny slopes and terrain suited for every level, The Remarkables offer the perfect mix of adventure and beauty. Spend the day skiing or snowboarding, whether you’re taking a lesson on the beginners’ slopes or joining guided runs across the upper mountain.

 

In the evening, we return to our lodge to relax and enjoy another delicious home-cooked meal.

DAY 4  - Arrowtown - Queenstown

Today you have a chance to slow down and soak up Queenstown’s vibrant alpine energy, with its buzzing lakefront, cosy cafés, boutique shops, and jaw-dropping mountain views in every direction.

 

For thrill-seekers, there’s an array of optional activities to choose from, including bungy jumping, canyon swinging, skydiving, jet boating, a visit to the Fear Factory, ice skating, ten pin bowling, or exploring one of the many local hikes.

 

In the evening, you’re free to head out and discover Queenstown’s dining scene at your own pace. Afterwards, we’ll meet back at the world-famous Ice Bar – a sub-zero lounge carved from ice, featuring intricate sculptures and frosty décor – where you can sip a colourful mocktail and share stories from an action-packed day in this alpine adventure playground.

DAY 5  - Arrowtown - Queenstown

 

After breakfast there will be another chance to enjoy the Queenstown lifestyle at your own pace. Spend the morning exploring town, relaxing by the lake, or joining more optional activities or checking out the local shops and restautrants.

 

In the afternoon, we ride the gondola high above Queenstown for spectacular panoramic views and a few thrilling luge rides.

 

Afterwards, we return to our Arrowtown lodge to freshen up before heading out together for a relaxed group dinner.

DAY 6  -  Arrowtown - Cardrona

We head up to Cardrona - a world renowned playground set in the Southern Alps between Queenstown and Wanaka. Famous for it's wide-open slopes, playful natural features, and stunning alpine views. With full mountain passes in hand, you'll have the freedon to explore everything this iconic ski area offers, from beginner trails to exciting jump parks and steeper terrain for the more adventurous. 

 

After another epic day on the snow, we return to the lodge and relax and enjoy another home-cooked meal together.

DAY 7  - Arrowtown - Cardrona

 

After breakfast we enjoy another full day to roam Cardrona's slopes, ticking off final runs, tricks, features or views you've had your eye on. 

 

In the evening we celebrate an action-packed week with a final night dinner, NZET games, and fun prizes to cap off your alpine adventures!

DAY 8  -  Queenstown - Home

Our final day begins with breakfast together as we pack up and say goodbye to this beautiful alpine region of towering mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and charming historic towns.

 

Before departing, take a moment to reflect on your favourite memories and grab some last photos with your new friends. You leave with lasting memories, new friendships, and plenty of stories from an unforgettable week in the snow.

 

Please book your flight home for departure after 10:30am to allow enough time for transfers and check-in.

Things to Know

Do I need to have skiing or snowboarding experience?

No, but you will need to have a resonable level of fitness and the desire to learn!

Will I need proper ski clothing?

Yes. This is NOT included. Buy or borrow some gloves etc, as it's very expensive to hire.  You'll need a waterperoof jacket, beanie (woollen hat), maybe a scarf and waterprooof gloves for the mountain. Also waterproof / breathable leggings.
